The interior painting process
While the interior painting process differs depending on the scope each job, a typical job will proceed like this:

Set up: Moving and covering furniture, covering floors.

Cleaning: dusting or washing of any surfaces to be painted.

Preparing the surfaces: Scraping and/or sanding of wood surfaces, patching drywall or plaster, filling nail holes, and caulking.

Painting: Two top-coats of paint to all surfaces. Interior trim is typically coated with an oil-based paint, while walls and ceilings are coated with a latex paint. We recommend Benjamin Moore paints and Helm Paint and Supply.

Pricing
We determine pricing for interior painting from the size of the area to be painted, the number of windows, doors, and other trim work, and the amount of prep work and patching needed the prepare the surfaces for paint, as well as any set up (moving furniture, covering floors, etc.).
